Who else wanted to kill the little brother?

I couldn't stand that little s**t! That weird doughy little face and the annoying lisp...what a little gaylord. I couldn't believe it when I found out he's Jason Miller's son.

Oh, my God! I wanted to punch him so badly since the very beginning and was relieved when Keanu's character did it for me. Then, the little bastard actually steals a gun to shoot his own brother! Evil little demon spawn! He irritated me terribly!

I guess that means he did a pretty good ACTING job in the movie to provoke such feelings. Try to remmember the kid was ACTING, and doing quite well at it,it would appear. Try to remmember that word: ACTOR!

Ya never know what ya don't know, ya know?

reply

Uh, DUUUHHHH, skatepunkkid! I am not an idiot. I hated his CHARACTER...notice how I did not use the real actor's name. Yes, good actors get good reactions from moviegoers, and he was a good actor. You must think I'm thick as cement! I am actually insulted by your comment.

Sorry if I missunderstood your post. I thought you were in agreement with the first poster, who was absolutely confusing the actor with the character he played. It is only because I felt that this kid did a fantastic job playing a total little sh!t that I made the post at all. Didn't mean to insult you Sarah.

That's okay. Sorry I replied in such a rude way, but I felt kind of insulted. I understand that it is easy to misunderstand posts on message boards when you aren't speaking to someone face to face. Sorry I was so rude again! You are forgiven, lol.

He invoked such a strong, negative, visceral reaction in me because of his TERRIBLE acting job and his ugly face.

Remember: TERRIBLE and UGLY!

reply

Yeah I was hoping Keanu would pistol-whip him after taking the gun. haha

reply

Man, that kid deserved a major beating.

Jack Bauer was never addicted to heroin. Heroin was addicted to Jack Bauer.

reply

i felt sorry for him, he was only 12, and in the end he didn't hurt and body.. cept hooper

That character was the most disturbing part of the movie. The main premise that everyone focuses on was how the high school kids were so unfeeling and desensitized to not even care when their friend was murdered. But the other "message" of the film was that if you think those kids are bad, take a look at Keanu's little brother and his friend and see how much worse the next group of kids will be.

the stuff that the kid does and the stuff that john does is kinda mirrored all the way through. the little kid 'murders' the doll at the start much like how john kills whatsherface. also the kid rips up the gravestone of the doll which shows he felt something for the crime he commited, whereas the teenagers didnt really feel much.
i thought the movie was about how the kid would grow up to be just like the teenagers as he'd already started mimicking them. the kid destroying things and not giving a sheep, then nearly killing his brother.
also the movie might be about how generations are getting worse, as feck killed someone because he loved her, john killed someone because he was angry, and now the kid has most of his life ahead of him and is already near killing people.

I recognized that Joshua Miller from the vampire flick "Near Dark". He plays pretty much the same character in that movie.

GOD, YES! Exactly what I thought. And because of that I wanted the same as most of you here...

A VERY irritating character.

Though, I guess I can understand how he became that way... or not.

Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!

reply

I sure did. God what a little pr**k!

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)

reply

stupid kid. i'd love to beat the fvck out of him

reply

He was a little bastard.

reply

No argument here. Though the same actor played the son of Dr. Challis in Halloween 3. And did I read above that Jason Miller is his father? What a world.

reply

Oh I hated the younger brother. With a passion.

But reflecting more, it's not like the kid had much of a chance in life. That doesn't excuse his CLEARLY sociopathic behavior. But the kid was clearly stuck in a cycle of violence and despair. When you get warped that young, it's hard to reprogram you.

I think the end scene where the brothers reconcile signified that there was still hope, though.

reply

I think he played his character very well. He was supposed to be a little kid trying to be tough --- a child with no parenting, discipline or father figure. He got my vote for best performance in the whole movie.

reply

not at all. He was the only one that had any personality next to crispin glover. I thought he was great.

he has a very punchable face, i also couldn't stand him in near dark. He basically plays the same character.

I hated Jaws, it had too much shark, and dont get me started about King Kong, waaay too much gorilla

reply

But he does become sympathetic--or at least humanized--at the end.

Not only is he Jason Miller's son, but Jason Patric's ("The Lost Boys") half-brother. And his mother, Sue Bernard, was a sexy Playboy Playmate who played the bikini-clad victim in "Faster Pussycat, Kill, Kill". He was a decent albeit pretty limited actor, but physically the best part of him REALLY ran down his mother's leg and made a stain on the matresss
