My mom and step-dad took me to see this when it came out. I was six. It's not for kids. Probably not for women either. In fact, I don't think any humans should see this. The whole thing with the cat... it breaks my heart.

Yes!!
But it really helps if you are a female who is into women!

I find the movie very hilarious ,and who doesn't enjoy half-naked women? Except maybe some stuck up prissy girls, like the ones in the movie!

I don't think women can FULLY appreciate the idea of young incarcerated girls wrestling in their underwear... It's like saying Bikini Carwash Company I & II were chick movies because the female characters carried the film.

I'm a girl - woman actually (30 years old). I've always liked the movie, not for the half-naked chics but I think Wendy Williams' character is a blast. And there are some strong female characters, they all aren't just a bunch of crap. There is some dark parts in it, and I've always just found it really fun to watch. I don't like the kitten stomping at all but I know it's fake so whatever. lol!

I suspect that it's perfectly natural for lesbian girl-gangs to want to brand pretty female newcomers on their butts with heated coathangers.

I'm sure that this kind of thing happens all the time in college sororities! It's called "initiation!"

I, too, am a straight female and thought this movie was a blast. No, I probably didn't appreciate the half-clothed girls in this as much as a man does, but the music was great and the one-liners were hilarious. This is not a movie one should take seriously. I would suspect if you grew up in the 80's as a fan of metal and have an off-beat sense of humor, you'd probably enjoy this. This is one that could NOT be remade lol.
