COOLEST SCENE EVER

The scene where Schwarzenegger knocks out his windshield and shoots all those guys in the quarry to the Rolling Stones song is just so insanely cool- mostly because it made absolutely no sense for him to do it. It also helps that I'm a die-hard Stones fan. That's the great thing about 80s action movies: they do things that are so very dumb and so very cool at the same time. Anybody else get their Satisfaction from that scene?

I'm glad somebody else shares my taste. Thank you, JWiligail. There really ought to be more action scenes set to good old fashioned rock music instead of this techno-remix crap they use nowadays. The coolest thing as that Arnold doesn't go in until the tape has started.

Check out the end scene in the film High Risk (1981) starring James Brolin.
A plane, a big machine gun, mexicans and Satisfaction.

Raw Deal owes it's most famous scene to this film!

Kaminski preparing for the final show-down must be one of the coolest scenes in the film, sooo over-the-top 80's...especially the glance in the mirror: "Damn I look cool!"

Agreed ... i used to watch that bit over and over when i was younger ... lol :)

Hell yeah Raw Deal is underrated, its not the greatest movie but pretty friggin good. Personally the coolest scene for me is just before the pit scene...when he showers (for some unknown reason) and loads up his guns and suits up.

The coolest scene for me was Arnold packing his guns: He's standing there in full-on Arnie mode. No redneck jeans jacket or plaid shirt like he wore at the start of the movie, just his bulging physique in a white tank-top stuffing his arsenal into a couple of bags (I guess he showed John Mclane a thing or two). even the mirror-scene is great. He takes a look, but not to look cool or anything post-modern like that, just to check if he's Arnold enough to blow the sh*t out of bunch of mob guys.

I personally liked the showdown at the end. Good shootout action.

that scene kicks ass it is pure eighties, over the top senseless violence. man i sure miss the days of eighties tough guy flicks i hate these f###ing gay pg-13 action movies they suck and are boring.

Hollywood just doesnt have the balls to make action movies like this anymore. I especially loved the unarmed guys like the truck drivers at the construction site, and several others he guns down.

reply

Yeah I loved this scene, it was more funny than unrealistic to me, even though it would be rather challenging to shoot the henchmen with a powerful rifle and drive fast over uneven terain.

But thats why I love Arnie movies :)

Awesome scene!
But there WAS a reason to kick out the windshield:
He wouldn't be able to see through it if it was riddled with bullet holes. Arnold knows what he's doing!
