Why weren't there more BMX-themed movies?

BMX and BMX freestyle were very popular in the mid to late 80s, yet Hollywood didn't jump on the bandwagon. We got BMX Bandits (an Australian flick, actually) and of course Rad. And BMX bikes and culture were certainly featured in a number of films--E.T. is often credited with popularizing BMX bikes, thanks to Eliot's iconic moonlight silhouette and the end chase. Pee-Wee's Big Adventure also featured some BMX freestyle. But we never did get that deluge of films as Hollywood tried to capitalize on the BMX craze.

Obviously had Rad been more successful that might have helped, but it's still a bit curious. Can anyone think of one I haven't mentioned?
