this is a REAL long shot, but.....

As there are a few other posts o this board from people requesting the names of films that have all been answered, and as we all seem to share some sort of dark secret in having seen this movie that most people dont even know exist, this might be the place to ask if anyone remembers a series i saw in my childhood...
now my memories of this are very vague, but i have been haunted by a few images for years and years, as i was by Frog Dreaming.
right... it was Australian or Kiwi, and shown on British tv in the early 90's, pretty early in the morning on channel 4 if i remember rightly. the only thing i can remember clearly, which seemed like a major plot point at the time, was a giant clock in a shopping mall that had a mannequin moving with the chimes of the clock.....or maybe it was just mime artist holding a clock?? the image is so clear but it's like trying to make sense of a dream when i try to remember it... i remember i had to turn off the tv half way through the only episode i watched as it got too intense for me!
i also think that the theme music (or at least the incidental music) bore a striking similarity to a section of Pink Floyd's 'Echoes' (at the 18mins 14 seconds mark if anyone wants to check...)
i think the plot was the classic kid foiling somes ort of criminal scheme type thing.......i know this is all super vague but this has been stressing me out for years and literally NO ONE i've asked has even the faintest idea what i'm on about!
