Piper Laurie Appearing at Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Convention

The incomparable Piper Laurie is scheduled to appear at the Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Convention, in Hunt Valley, Maryland, this September (2014). She’ll be joining Angela and Veronica Cartwright, Peggy King, Connie Stevens, and Lana Wood, for screenings of their work. There are scheduled screenings of Laurie’s films, Naked City, The Prince Who Was a Thief, Dawn at Soccoro, and classic Laurie television appearances as well. I think Piper Laurie deserved very much to win the Golden Globe award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture Made for TV for her portrayal of Annie in this most moving, touching and sensitively directed movie.

The other two main actors, James Garner and James Woods, turned in remarkably splendid performances as well.
