How the H*ll did Procter make Captain

in #2 hes just a sergeant (and I also wonder how he even made that) but in this less than a year later he's already a Captain and then in the next ones he Lieutenant

I'll field this one...

Police ranks are all a matter of "what spot is open" and "who is most qualified."

Because of this...when Mauser became Commendant of his own academy, he could appoint anyone he wanted as his second in command, who would then be called "Captain." It's similar to a field promotion in the military.

In Police Academy 4 he's back to LT, which would be proper as Captain is currently filled by someone appointed by Lasard.

OP,

I think it is supposed to be more time than a year that has passed between movies 2 and 3. It's probably something like 4-7 years that have passed.

If you notice, all of the original recruits have made the rank of Sergeant. So it has to be more than a year between the movies....

Yeah but him a Cpt., I'm suprised he made Sgt. And another thing in Police Academy 2: Back In Training it say's that their the graduates of 84 the year thay made Police Academy and in Police Academy 5: Assignment Miami Beach Lassard say's to the graduates of that year "I'll miss you Class of 88" which proves that the timelines of each film are like the films themselves only a year between each other.

I'm currently watching PA3 in HD on Movietime and ive noticed something i never noticed before, while Procter has Cpt. stripes on his uniform, his name tag identifies him as Lt. Procter. So he may have still been a leutenant the whole time, could have just been a goof that went unnoticed during filming.

PLEASE stop calling him "Procter", his name is "Proctor".

How hard is it to get "e" and "o" correct? Why would anyone make such an american typo?

You obviously need help, so here you go:

No need to thank me, it's my pleasure. If even one human being learns how to write english words correctly, it is all worth it right there.

Dude, you have MAJOR anger issues.

reply

Wow, in all the years I've been watching this I never noticed. I guess what everyone has said so far is true and he simply got demoted a rank to Lieutenant once Mauser lost his clout.
