What's your favorite scene?

Mine is when she visits her grandparents. Scenes of their home bring back so many memories of my own grandparents homes - doilies, pictures, knickknacks - plus the music. Always brings me to tears.

I also like her reaction upon hearing her grandmother's voice on the phone. Peggy Sue was simply SO taken, shocked, "vklempft" upon hearing her voice that she simply HAD to give the phone to her mother. Very sad/touching.

When she got to tell her grandma that she named her daughter after her.

When she went to visit Grandmas house....and when Grandma called on the phone
I think of how I would love to talk to my old gram again.....she was so wise

The phone scene. Gets to me every time.

On a lighter note, when Charlie changes the words to "She Loves You."

The 'Pilgrim Soul' scene

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,

And nodding by the fire, take down this book,

And slowly read, and dream of the soft look

Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,

And loved your beauty with love false or true,

But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,

And loved the sorrows of your changing face..........

What if when you die, they ask "How was heaven?"

It makes me wish and long to go back and walk through my house and bedroom. Go see my Grandma and hug my Dad. I love when she first gets there and everything is coming back to her!

I (along with everyone else) loved the s new where she visits her grandparents. It brought tears to my eyes. A wonderful scene.

I also really loved when her father brings home the car and she laughs at him saying "You bought an Edsel!". I thought that was so hilarious, and her laugh (she'd been drinking!!) was truly amazing. I watched it over and over.

-When she finds herself as a teenager and she walks through the halls of school after the blood drive and sees the same helium-filled balloon bouncing around that she just saw as an adult at the reunion dance before she fainted.

-When she arrives home for the first time and talks to her mother.

-When she's in class enthusiastically singing 'My Country Tis of Thee.' Hilarious

-When her and the Beatnik guy hook up outside at night.

-When her grandmother calls and she gets so overcome that she has to hand the phone off.

-When she visits her grandparents.

Several of these scenes always make me bawl. lol

I also loved Grandma calling but for laughs I like her little comments and looks like when her friends tell her she's so immature. Also when she hits the liquor cabinet and smokes thinking " what the hell I'm probably dead anyway.
