so destroy the lamp and that destroys the genie? so is that like to kill a vampire you destroy his coffin? seems an odd way to destroy a powerfull creature like that genie who ( it seemed ) could posess people, especially as when the lead character seemed to be taken over by the genie, she led everyone down into the museum basement why didnt it just posess someones body to survive?.Then at the end the bracelet just falls off her wrist, does that mean if someone else finds it and wears it the genie could return?
I do not know because they could have left it open to make a sequel but never got around to do that. That sometimes happens you know with movies. I have a friend of mine who was in a movie 20 years ago and she was one of the main characters of the movie.
I asked her why they did not make a sequel to it and the way it sounded to me she said that it will not happen though. I do not know how when they could always remake the first movie and then go from there with the same cast to make the sequel.
Well that lady who kept it for many years more than likely did not read the inscription on the lamp because it stated that if you destroy the lamp the genie is destroyed along with it as well.
I agree with you that this movie had some great kills all right! I loved it and this was the first time in years that I have watched it since USA Network use to show films like this late at night during the week, in the afternoons on the weekends, and on our favorite program USA UP ALL NIGHT which was a favorite of mine to watch films like this back in the day.
But especially the end ending was terrible. She hears Pepsi bottles clinking and gets scared? Really?
I think it would have been better if the teacher had come back, hugged Alex as she did and then her eyes glowed green. I was re-writing it my head that way and it would have been a nice little "kicker".
