A very underrated film in the 1980s.

"One More Saturday Night" is an awesome film,it had a lot of funny moments in it.I hope they will come out with this movie on DVD sometime in the near future.Al Franken and Tom Davis, who were writers for "Saturday Night Live" in the mid 1980s did an awesome job writing the script to the film, they are also in the film as 2 members of a rock band called "Bad Mouth".I hope they will bring this movie out on DVD.

I'd never heard of this movie until I came on here and saw it. And I had only done that because I had seen it was released in theaters on Friday, August 22, 1986. That was the day I first went off to college and began it, and the 20th anniversary of it is Tuesday. I plan to observe it then, and am looking at all movies on here that were released in theaters on that day. But after reading the plot outline and review of this movie, it does seem like an interesting, good movie to watch. I was apparently just a year or two older than most of the characters in it when it did come out, but I would like to see it soon on DVD, if it comes out on it (it does not seem to be now).

I love this movie! I rented the video in the 80s. It does have some very funny parts - Franken and Davis are just too funny as the band!

Yeah Davis was funny.

OMG I Freak'n love this movie!! It came out the summer I was 17 & I was gonna be a rockstar. From the minute I saw Tobi I was in love and convinced I was gonna marry her when I got famous. Well, that didn't pan out, but, I never forgot this movie. My 2 favorites scenes are when Tobi & Diane smoke weed with Larry & Paul in the van, love how Tobi shot gunned the hit off the joint & kissed Larry. The other great scene is later in the movie when Tobi & Diane are singing backup on stage with the band. I love the song they are singing. "Don't lie to me!" Love Tobi's sunglasses & the way she was dancing. Did I mention I was & still am in love with Tobi? LOL.

I've been looking for a recording of "Don't Lie to Me!" but I can't find it anywhere. Anyone know where I might get the soundtrack to this awesome movie?

I don't know what made me think of this movie.

I see I am good company, though - yep, it is a funny, underrated, very spirited movie. The fact that it has a 5.8 rating just affirms to me that I am odd, not a joiner of groups or mob mentality, and just see many things differently than most.

I would love to see this again - the scene where the kid was being attacked by the little dog (to burglarize a home, and impress that cute girl) was hysterical. The blonde girl (who gets upset that her boyfriend told the jock airheads they already had sex) was good in her role, too, and was just stunning.

I always loved Al Franken, remembering him even from SNL days ("...me, Al Franken...") and that cool mophead of curly hair.
