Posibly one of the worst movies of the 80's
Not even bad enough to be good. Flat jokes, horrendous acting and stupid sight gags.
UGH, I love the 80's nostalgia but this turkey is better off left in 1986.

I'm old enough that I saw that in the theater, during my school break when I went to Florida to visit my grandmother and crash at her house so I could party in Ft. Lauderdale for spring vacation!
I remember sitting in the theater watching that film with my mouth just hanging open at how bad and unfunny it was...just painful gag after painful gag. People walked out left and right. I sat there because I was too cheap! I paid for the ticket! I'm suffering to the end! hahaaha
But wow...that was a bad one!

I'd kill a pack of tortoises for a comedy this good noawadays. When PG could still be funny. Holland's warped humor is what makes it still great.

At no point is this movie on any "worst" list. Although this thread should be.
If you think that "One Crazy Summer" is a bad movie(or "worst movie of the 80's), then I fear you aren't a student of comedy. There is a lot of dark humor in this film that merges well with the completely obvious gags. Plus, many of the jokes are deliberately-executed cliches/parodies. Also, the acting is good, the script is decent, and the cast is well-balanced. Production value and shot selection are fine, as well. Not to mention, any bad acting showcased in this flick, is probably done so intentionally, as a further farce. I'm not saying it rivals "Citizen Kane". However, "One Crazy Summer" is a fun, harmless, movie.
Not to be rude... but, making a statement such as the one that headed your post, might give someone the impression that you're an idiot. How many movies have you seen, in your lifetime? Three? It's fine if you don't like the movie. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But, throwing out the "worst ever" tag is pretty ignorant. Btw, you spelled possibly wrong.

Bobcat Goldthwait stomping the Beckerstead Estates models dressed in a Godzilla suit with smoke coming out the mouth is comedy gold!
