Horror Anthology Question

I've been scouring the IMDb for the last few hours looking for the title of a film, perhaps made for cable, that I saw back in the mid/late 1980's. It consisted of several short horror stories. I cannot recall if it was tied together with a wraparound story. Some of the stories went as follows:

1) A kid claims to have a monster in his closet, but his parents don't believe him. Eventually the kid's Mom becomes the closet monster's victim.
2) A business man goes to an all-night dentist named Dr. A Cula and is turned into a vampire.
3) A doctor takes home a body part(hand, eye, brain?) from a psycho/serial killer/whatever and she & her boyfriend/husband are attacked by it.

I know there are more stories, but I don't remember them well enough to relate any specifics. Any help with finding this film would be greatly appreciated.

I think the movie your thinking of is 'TALES THAT WITNESS MADNESS'

You are thinking of 'Terrorvision,' which was a British-produced horror anthology. It aired two or three times in the very early 90's. I saw it one Halloween night on A&E. It has since vanished into obscurity. The episode involving the dentist (which is supremely scary) was called 'The Craving'. Some time with Google will conjure up a few fleeting references toward it but good luck finding it. It'll be next to impossible.

The only Terrorvision I can find is Charles Band's 1986 film.
PLOT: Terror Vision refers to the alien lifeforms that hijacked an eccentric family's satellite TV system.
IMDB search only finds this film.
I can't find it on ioffer.com even. ==> Super very ultra duper rare.

Then this on a forum:

Back in the 80s, there was a Canadian TV movie called TerrorVision. Some of the cable stations would air it. It was two hours of 15 minute episodes. Some of them were pretty creepy. I'd love to see this again.

Look up "Tales From The Darkside,The Movie" !!

David Allen Grier of "Living Color" fame plays the monster in the closet.

The Charles Band film is not the one I am referring to

If you're still interested in finding out about the horror anthology you were hunting earlier this year, I believe I have the correct information for you.

TerrorVision (NOT the Charles Band film) is a low-budget, direct to video movie released in 1985 by Excel Telemedia International. It featured six stories -- "The Craving," the vampire dentist tale, "The Closet Monster," in which a boy's disbelieving mother is eaten by the Thing In the Closet, "Final Edition," about a newspaper that predicts an attack upon the heroine, "One of Kind," a kinky entry in which two elderly fashion photographers turn their unsuspecting models into store mannequins, "A Cold Day In July," concerning a murderous bathroom shower, and "Rosemary's Lot," which is the one about the body parts returning to life and threatening the woman who had brought them home with her --, and in spite of relying almost entirely on amateur talent, the flick is pretty well-done and entertaining. As far as I know, the movie is not connected with any British companies and was shot in and around a Midwestern U.S. city (Cleveland, Ohio, I believe). I certainly enjoyed it more than Band's typically uneasy mix of horror and comedy of the same name.

I have an old EP/SLP video copy of this film that contains four of the six stories (missing "A Cold day In July" and "The Craving"). I haven't watched it in years, but I think I'll dig it out tomorrow.

THE ESSENTIAL MONSTER MOVIE GUIDE, a 1999 book by Stephen Jones, is the only reference work in which I've found this version of TerrorVision included. Steve V.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll look into it when I'm finished with tonight's mail.

Wow, this is an old thread. Steve V.

BTW, you answer the original OP's question not late in the same year, but almost 3 years later. You should look at the dates when topics were created. For example, I'm replying to your last post over 1 year after you left it.

Terrorvision, the anthology tv show, is not on You Tube; however, it is available to purchase at the ioffer website.
