Jackie Gleason in a Playboy interview

I remember him saying that Tom Hanks is going to be one of the great actors of our time.
Hanks was already well known, but the great one knew talent and Hanks must have made a big impression on Gleason

At the time of it's release I remember Tom Hanks being on a talk show to promote it He mentioned how thrilled he was that he got to work with Jackie Gleason and mentioned when he told Gleason how great he thought the Honeymooners was. Instead of accepting credit he said that Gleason's response was to smile, give a little laugh and said with fondness "That Carney." I remember thinking that that was a pretty classy response.

Jesus is the Son of God and my Lord and savior. Pretty cool.

I was thinking of this movie just recently. I didn't like Hanks much as an actor at the time. But a friend had rented it and wanted to watch it. And I did a 180° regarding my opinion of Hanks. A fine, underappreciated film of his.
