HAS THIS EVER BEEN SHOWN ON ITV?

It is the only one of McEwan's I have not seen. I know it was delayed, but then it just seems to have been forgotten. The DVD's on Amazon keep getting put back. I wonder what went wrong with the screening and availability of this last show?

I am pretty sure i caught it on PBS a while back..

The proper (Joan Hickson) version was made for BBC and never shown on ITV. Crikey-alone knows what ITV will do with their new version of it. I have stopped watching their Marple films. Agatha would spin in her grave.

I don't watch the Geraldine McEwan versions anymore either. I don't think her Miss Marple gets insulted they way that Joan Hickson did. The way that the murderer calls Jane a hag after they've been found out. Most insulting.

I agree, I really detest the "other" nemesis and after watching Joan Hickson and the interpretation of her Miss Marple, I can't watch any other production. These keep pretty much close to the stories. Why they have to change a good story is a mystery.
