Very challenging book to read

Heartily agreed, teal. Even though many terms in the book went beyond me, and I had to keep diving for a dictionary or encyclopaedia, it was still a joy to read -- for the concept, for the conceit, and for Eco's sheer love of language.


You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

I absolutely had to read the book after I saw the movie. Wish they would have kept the book's version of the library. Enjoyed both film and novel. RIP Eco.
