They made a sequel to this movie

It was on the MLP TV Show, and it's called The End of Flutter Valley! It has the witches and a few new villains too! And it has Cloris, Medeline, and Rhea as the voices for the witches, like in the movie! It's cool! ^_^

You can but it on DVD and it was made right after the movie. It was the TV Show's very first episode!

My Little Pony. It was in the 80s.

The DVD is called The End of Flutter Valley. It's as long as the MLP Movie!

reply

Aw dang, you got my hopes up that there was an actual sequel.

That's not a sequel, that's a DVD with a series of episodes that take place after the movie. :P (The eps were cute, though.)

reply

Actually those are all one episode, and it IS a sequel to the movie.

reply

...No it isn't. The episodes were shown on TV. Even on the DVD, it says "The End of Flutter Valley, Part 1", "The End of Flutter Valley, Part 2", etc. I even remember seeing these eps on TV. Heck, I have some of the episodes taped. :/

reply

I know. But the episodes were a sequel to the movie.

does anyone know if the new DVD of 'the end of flutter valley' is the original animation? i want to buy it but it has the creepy G2 ponies on the front of it and i really don't want it if their in it! its just not the same!

reply

Creepy though they are they never made it to a silver screen or even a crappy 14" inch one, it was just another hasbro ploy to get a new generation to watch a film made at least 10 years previously. I own that copy. I do love the film. The closest you get to the G2 freaky faced non-ponies are the flutter ponies and as I am sure you know they are utterly flutterly fantastic and not creepy at all - a little aloof at times and perhaps self centred, but at least they look like my little ponies and not some kind of skinny tall frog with hooves. I actually feel rather sorry for them. I bought some when they were cheap in the shops. I use them as stand in flutter ponies to make up the numbers when the smooze starts to attack my paradise estate. They are less effective, but then so is the purple blanket replacement for smooze, which no amount of - flume, phlume, floom???!!!*? - will seem to make sing with quite such a jovial harmony as the real stuff.

I have problems - sorry.

I don't think Madeline Kahn was back for "The End of Flutter Valley", but that does sound like Cloris Leachman as Hidia (sp?), although it's so hard to say for sure.

I actually just picked up End of Flutter Valley the other day. I loved My Little Pony (my sisters and I had all the little dolls and would play with them in the car on the way to my grandparent's house....ah, youth)

I have two sisters who were utterly crazy about MLP, so I saw "The End of Flutter Valley" when it was originally broadcast, and as I remember it, the Witches' voices sounded completely different from the movie. Reeka and Draggle both sounded twice as idiotic as they were in the movie, and Hydia sounded just plain mean. Anyways, the story itself was a logical sequel to the movie, despite the fact that it was on the small screen rather than the big screen.

Bah weep granah weep nini bong!
Name the movie!

Actaully someone else did Hydia and someone else did Rosedust in the movie...the same person did Rosedust in the TV show as in the movie, maybe she just picked a different voice for her...she also did the voice of Morning Glory.
