we *bloody* live in that house....

...i know how the couple in that movie feels. we first moved here and it looked lovely from the outside - shortly after we moved in (which took all nite because the owners moved out about 9 hours late) we had to get the electrical work redone on 4 separate occasions because the fuses kept blowing and plunging our house into perpetual stone-age-ness....we've had our plumbing fixed about 7 times (including during the time when the radiators refused to work one winter and then wouldn't shut off from maximum during the intense heatwave last summer) ; they actually *ripped* the microwave and its shelf from the wall, left a bunch of old mattresses behind; the living room french windows barely closed; we have trees and shrubs and 10-foot weeds in the stupidest possible areas; our ceiling was so thin that slugs (ecch) kept plopping onto our shower floor; they built their garage right in the middle of the driveway; they built a fireplace with a *wooden* mantelpiece; and they actually came back and bafflingly stole the sign they had for some reason made for the house.
anyway, it was a great film. :)

Bingo, ursa fan....lol...the house wasn't bought because of the exterior; i was just saying that for such a nice-looking house an annoying variety of problems later sprung up. Some people are just always looking to pointlessly pick a sugar-induced argument...
