Momo is based on the ideas of 'Freiwirtschaft'..

Some people asked, what kind of philosophy the book is based on, the whole thing was meant as an metaphor for "Freiwirtschaft"-studies...

How can you say the whole philosophy is based on money when it states that it is about time?

Did you never heard the proverb "time is money?"... Or why do you think, are the grey men in the movie smoking cigars like the typical money moguls in the thirties of the last century? In capitalism, time IS actually money, because capitalism is based on interest and return of investment, the economy HAS to grow constantly, people MUST therefore buy more (->idiotic consumerism: the thing with the barbie puppets in the movie for example) and thats why everything has to speed up to gain more profit in shorter times and so on, everything has to be capitalized, even the guitar player must stop singing or go commercial...., and finally, there's no time (or money?) left to relax, sing, meet friends and play......
