Career-killer?

I couldn't help but notice that this forgotten movie has three actors who were becoming big stars earlier in the decade, and whose careers crashed immediately after making this.

Roy Scheider, who had coasted for ten years on "Jaws", wound up in B-movies from this point on, and in his last decades made his living doing cameos in crappy action movies shot in Bulgaria.

Treat Williams had worked with Sidney Lumet and Sergio Leone, and was considered to be a promising actor for a while - after this, it was Italian exploitation and crummy American TV.

Craig Wasson was a leading man for Brian De Palma and Arthur Penn - but in the late 80s and 90s he only did a few small roles before disappearing altogether.

Is it this movie's fault? Maybe.
