I like this movie but, I don't like the brothel scenes much. I lost interest there.

Stockard had a great scene and she did GREAT.

The only thing I liked about this film was when the men decided to throw knives at the kitchen door, Stockard came home and found them at it, and you KNEW her husband, Richard Jordan, was in for it. I was laughing even before she came into the scene, and when she whacked him with the frying pan, I was on the floor. His slinky, grinning apologies while the blood runs down his face were hysterical.

"The Mens Club" may not be top notch movie fare, but it could be good stuff for some guys to watch over drinks as an occasional alternative to sports. I suggest "The Mens Club" as quasi-cult fare for guys to put on when they need a break from jockomania.

Well said, alexisdetroit. This is a film about men and for men, for the most part, and though it's a bit of a misfire, it's rare to have a film that deal with relationships from the man's perspective. 6/10 stars from me.

Sounds to me more like the film is about men and for women.

If you'd seen it, you'd not think that. Given the eye candy on display, I'd say this is squarely aimed at men.

It was great to see Roy Scheider with some pretty nasty dialogue compared to what I've seen him do.
