Haven't seen this movie for about 10 years...But i think about about lavant's dance to bowie at least once a month. Randomly it will just come into my head for no reason. It's the best marriage of conemporary soundtrack to visuals in all 80's movie's and I'm toatlly falbbergasted (that's the only word to describe it) that no one else knows about it. Honestly just totally Iconic. I've only seen this and Les amants...Any other suggestions?

I'd recommend Carax's own Pola X, his crazy-loose adaptation of Herman Melville's Pierre, or the Ambiguities (of all things!).

Almost 9 years later ... Levant's dance during the end credits of Beau Travail - he's amazing.

It's a highly regarded and much viewed film... lots of people know about it and it's without doubt iconic.
