They were some crazy azz fighters!
Were they part of the JC stunt team?

I agree, they were hardcore and were a handful for Jackie. It was scary that they kept trying to kick him in the balls at the start of the fight... scary for any male fighter against them.

I don't think they would have been in the stunt team however the martial artists acting out the martials for them(stunt doubles you could say) were probably members of the stunt team.

I just watcehd the movie again and was thinking, aside from the weirdness of the 90s wuxia flicks, they are probably the weirdest characters ever lol.

I saw an interview with Jackie talking about that scene. He said that he felt at that point like he had used every type of character for the final enemy so he wanted to do something new. He brought the ladies in from all over, and they really could fight, but they were ring fighters, not movie fighters. He realized they knew how to do the technical stuff but had no idea about staging and framing a shot or what to do in the background while the others were doing their thing. He ended up taking some male members of his team and painting them black and just used the women for the closeup shots.

Yes, I'm watching the movie now on Netflix and you can clearly see that they are Chinese men in women clothes in the fighting shots and black women in the close ups. LOL.

that's the fun thing about digital media,the old vhs that I have,you can't see that they are guys but in the dvd you can :D

So obvious they were Asian dudes with bronze tanner during the harder stunts in HD, that can either kill or enhance your erection.

I thought they would be giants so i was a little disappointed. Still good though.
