Underrated
As seen by the lack of topics. Seriously, this is a good film yet it gets hardly any attention.
shareHave you eyes? It makes a viewer think and feel something like compassion. It is not an eye-candy with wire acrobatics...
It's definitely not a bad movie. It's got a message to the audience, it has "heart" (something most movies are lacking nowadays), and it has fabulous performance by Mr Sammo Hung. After watching him in this role I started to respect him even more. How many "big stars with big fists" will dare to perform a moron like this on screen? Not many, I guess. And he definitely makes a view shudder.
Thankfully, we have a fine DVD release in our country with multiple (including Chinese) soundtracks and subs + deleted scenes + interview with Sammo Hung and much more! I was quite surprised that in the original Chinese version a few martial arts sequences were moved to the "deleted scenes" section because the movie was supposed to me more dramatic from the start. So we have the original version. Though "the hospital" fighting from the deleted scenes is amazing.
