Audrey III? From Japan?


In 'Godzilla vs. Biollante,' Godzilla does battle with a giant mutated plant that bears a certain resemblance our favorite 'mean green mother.' It even moves the same way as Audrey II, by grabbing the landscape with its vines and dragging itself forward. Those vines ended in toothy mouths, much like Audrey II's buds - but these didn't sing.

The very first time I watched 'Godzilla vs. Biollante,' and saw Biollante moving forward, I couldn't help but think, "DOES this look inanimate to you, punk?"

No; can't sing, either. It can spit acid, though.

There is a spot in the battle where Biollante gets Godzilla's head and shoulders into its mouth, much like when Audrey II clamped onto Audrey I.

Of course, trying to swallow something head-first that breathes fire can only end badly for the attempting swallower...
