Do you think the plant would have spared Seymour?

IF Seymour had went along with the plant and kept feeding it, bringing it ppl to eat, and not tried to kill it at the end, do you think it would have still eaten him? Or do you think the plant would have let Seymour live?

I think that eventually, the plant would have seen Seymour as useless, once it was able to capture its own victims. In the end, it was either one or the other.

We ain't hunting him, he's hunting us.

For some reason I always felt the plant might keep Seymour as like a "pet" of sorts lol

But I always wondered if the plant maybe felt some sort of emotional attachment to Seymour like maybe out of gratitude, b/c after all Seymour is the one who kept it alive and fed it.

The lyrics to "Mean Green Mother" certainly point in that direction:

"Wanna save your skin boy? Wanna save your hide?
You wanna see tomorrow? You better step aside.
Better take a tip boy. Want some good advice?
You better take it easy 'cause your walking on thin ice!"

Yeah those lines there are one thing that made me think he might spare Seymour.

They should make a sequel like that lol.

I think what very little good was in the plant was reserved towards Seymour, and only because Seymour kept him alive when he was vulnerable.

But face it, even if the plant didn't kill him, Seymour would have to live with being a perpetual accomplice to repeat murder.
