Rufus Sewell

Just watching this for the first time on the Horror Channel in the UK and I noticed Rufus Sewell in an early role, he's not even credited. Anyone else noticed this?

Just recently watched this again and I didn't see him. Are you perhaps thinking of the actor who played the role of David? He looks a bit like Rufus, but the actor is Steven Pinner (who I've never heard of before). The earliest role Rufus is credited for if you look at his profile is the Patsy Kensit flick "Twenty-One" five years after "Link" was released (this matches up with what's on his Wikipedia page). Doesn't mean Rufus wasn't in there in some small role I guess, but I definitely don't recall seeing him there.

Yeh, think you might be right. I checked afterwards and no, I've never heard of Steven Pinner either, apparently he was in Brookside? The actor playing David did look like Rufus, but he didn't really sound like him. Oh well, lol. Thought I had one over old IMDB for a minute. :)

Always worth investigating! There definitively is an occasional piece of info missing or something incorrect in IMDB. I'd have to agree that Steven Pinner has a very similar facial structure as Rufus, but the voice is quite different. Would be curious to see what this actor looked like today to see if that similarity remained, but he has a very short resume and no pics to speak of.

Ahaa! So after a brief stint in Brookside, he reverted back to his original name Steven (sometimes billed as Steve) Finch as he was getting confused with another Brookside actor Steven Pinder. see these links

Whoah, great find! That's quite interesting. You're absolutely right. This Steve Finch: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1183922 is the same person as the Steven Pinner listed for "Link". They have identical birth dates. This pads his resume a bit more (which includes, of all things, a stint on "Xena: Warrior Princess). Now that's some nice investigative work!
