Elisabeth Shue

I'll tell ya my Link memory involving that scene.

A subscription channel in L.A. in the 80s called SelecTV used to show Link weekly for about a year. I had no VCR, and I was so enamored with Shue that I would actually set the alarm clock for 12:45am, 3:05am, or whenever that scene was due to come on. My little 12-year-old heart would start bangin' like crazy for those two minutes.

She is very hot and cute in this movie. I love Elisabeth Shue. She's wonderful

The ape's got great taste, and so do you (and I). Elisabeth Shue brings out our primal urges. Too bad she had to go down the food chain in her career, though -- from working with Link to Nicolas Cage. ;-)

Hopefully I'm not going to destroy any adolescent memories but I've read somewhere that they used a body double for the longshot. In the closeups it's clearly Elisabeth Shue but you can tell from the different hairstyle in the longshot that it is the body double.

She may be hot (not to me, but if she does it for you...), but man does she suck as an actress. This movie wouldn't have been an award-winner regardless, but she is definitely the weakest link here. For reference, just watch any interaction she has with Terrance Stamp. Saying it was cringe-worthy is being way too kind.
