Big tip for those dissatisfied with the blue hue of the Blu-ray!

First thing first, I have a Samsung TV, so results may vary depending upon what options your type of TV gives you...(and if you haven't properly calibrated your TV, you should do so first.)

Take a look at the color tone/color temperature options in your menu, you should have something like "Cold", "Normal", and "Warm 1, 2, 3" - set it to "Warm 3".

Now, go to your ordinary color setting and tune it down - on a Samsung I recommend the 40-45 (out of 100) level (I use 40.) The point is simply to de-saturate the inherently over-saturated color palette of the Blu-ray.

On my system, by doing these things the blue hue of this Blu-ray is essentially reverse engineered and you are left with pure natural color, more similar to the old DVD edition of Dust in the Wind but with the superior qualities of the restoration. Normally, these color temperature settings simply tinge the screen blue or red/orange and are to be avoided - in this case there is no red infiltration, it simply counteracts & neutralizes the pronounced blue color timing of this Blu-ray. Reds and greens remain fine, but the blues are now naturally blue instead of neon blue, grays become gray once again, and the whites (like all of the white T-shirts in the film) are usually purely white.

Tinker around with it, it's definitely worth the effort!
