I'll have to find it and watch it to know for sure, but I think this was the movie my mother watched being filmed in Springfield, TN when I was a baby. I think they used our courthouse for a bank scene or something (if this is the right one), because a late uncle of mine was an extra.
shareWell, it was made in 1986 if that helps you any and this site states it was made in Tennessee. I was surprised by how good it is. It is a "TV movie" and I was found it very enjoyable.
shareYes, that scene was shot in Springfield, Tenn. I had the opportunity to work one day with props with Tina and Mike Bledsoe. They covered the streets with dirt and did a little dressing up of some of the exteriors of the buildings. They chose Springfield because it had an excellent look that could easily convey the time period. They used a number of locals as extras.
