something parting the earlier 'Kojak' tv-movies from the later?

I've come across the 1989-1990 kojak tv-movies a couple of times, but not the earliest ones (1985, 1987). i'm not sure how it works, but might it be like the rights to the earlier movies belongs to some other, and that's the reason why it might be that way.

i can't eat,
i can't get up from my seat,
i feel so bad, i feel so low,
i can't move, i can't do anything at all,
i got something in my soul,
diffrent things i've heard its been called,
i got something in me,
that keeps me from being happy,
i'm doomed,
there is not a thing i can do,
i know i'll never lose the feel,
it's always with me,
laying staring at the roof,
couldn't raise my hand for a glas if i wanted to,
i feel so bad, i feel so low,
i can't move, i can't do anything at all.

I know ABC ran the revival series movies. However, watching THE PRICE OF JUSTICE, I kept seeing the "Lifetime" logo. I'm having trouble remembering if I taped this when it was first-run, or later on.

I tend to feel that TV series or movie series should, ideally, ALWAYS be syndicated as a single package. But not everybody can be bothered to go thru the trouble. It's like when Rhino Records will do comprehensive "best of" collections of an artist, they'll go the extra mile to license songs from EVERY label the artist recorded for, not just one era or another.

This film and THE BELARUS FILE were one off's produced in the middle of the 1980s. The remaining five Kojak films were part of a "mystery wheel" (where Kojak was just one TV sleuth among many who appeared in alternating movies of the week) that ABC produced three or four years later.
