Killer Party is my favorite movie of all time!!!
I've seen it more times than any other movie and it's great every time I see it.
I mean what other movie starts of with a movie within a music video within a movie?
I love showing it to people that have never seen it. They get totally confused when the rock band starts rocking out at the drive in.
I first saw it when was a little kid andI was convinced that college would be just like that (minus all the killing of course).

I've NEVER met anyone who has seen the movie (who hasn't seen it thru me) so it's really great to see that I'm not the only one who loves it.
I even have the movie poster!

Before I forget....I LOVE the music. Is there a soundtrack?

reply

Unfortunately, there's no soundtrack...I've searched since we were blessed with Napster. However I did manage to score the White Sister song in the music video/opening. There's also a Laura Branigan song at the April Fool's Day which is easy to locate.

reply

Does anyone know who sings the song "best times" which plays as the ending credits rolling?

reply

Yep i am in total agreement with the messagers for a change. Animalgirl where did you find the poster? I can't even find the freakin' movie anymore. Nobody I know has even heard of it. I enjoyed that although it borrowed from so many other horror films, it still came out totaly original. The characters were so likeable, yes including the bitch, that you cared whether they lived or died and the penultimate attraction was you really couldn't tell which of the three girls was the actual star of the film leaving you to wonder who will survive the killer party!

reply

Ive seen it for sale on ebay a few times...maybe Ill have to invest in a copy. I've seen it twice and seem to remember likin it.

reply

I like the movie snd it was one of those had to search for a long time to find the title than the movie films.

I have 2 copies of it on vhs and considered making a site to it.

reply

I love the film I have it on video. I live in Essex, England and I have never ever ever found anyone who has seen the film, and I doubt I ever will in this country. Paul Bartel rocks in it. I'd love to see it on DVD, they seem to release every other horror film.

I love this movie, I own a second hand copy of it on video (its quite grainy) that I bought at 'Blockbuster' for $2.......Bargain!

You can count me as somebody who considers KILLER PARTY to be one of their all-time fave horror films. It wasn't released theatrically in my city, but thanks to HBO, it was played over and over while I was in high school. I remember a lot of people in my school enjoying this film and quoting dialogue all the time, especially Veronica's: "Sister Melanie? Sister Pam? Bring me more eggs!" "What are you looking at, slimebucket? Waiting for a black ball to come down?" Even though the gore in the film was heavily trimmed, the production values are beautiful for a horror flick, and the performers and their characters are such a likable bunch, you really don't want to see anything bad happen to them. And the soundtrack - incredible! I also managed to download the White Sister jam off of Napster years ago, but it's still a mystery to who sings the catchy "These Are The Best Times" song.

I, too, LOVE THIS MOVIE! I got my copy on ebay for a hefty price (on VHS, mind you) but WORTH EVERY PENNY! I haven't met anyone either who owns this, much less, SEEN IT! YOWZA! :) :)

I found this for $3 about 10 years ago and thought it was pretty good. Then I watched it today. I really didn't like it much anymore, I thought there were too many themes without one being focused on - possession, a haunted house, slasher, sorority-comedy antics. I'll still keep it for my collection, but I was rather disappointed that I didn't like it as much as before.

I have been trying to remember the name of this film for a while now. It ended up only taking me 1hr to find it, which is pretty good, since the name doesn't ring a bell for me at all.

I was (and am) a big horror buff when I was young...probably too young to watch horrors.

I was really excited to watch it again, as someone had posted it one YouTube, but it has been taken down. I did however get to watch another 80's horror, Sleepaway Camp. I don't know, horror movies now scare me, but it's different then the scares I got from the good old 80's movies. Hopefully this film will come out on DVD...otherwise I will just wait to find it on YouTube again!

I think this film is a delightfully dopey hoot. It's much sillier and hence a lot less mean-spirited than a bulk of 80's slasher flicks. The characters are very charming and funny. Ralph Seymour in particular is a geeky riot as nutty campus nerd Martin and Paul Bartel is likewise most amusing as the uptight Professor Zito. I keep hoping this picture would come out on DVD already; my beat-up used VHS copy barely even plays anymore and an upgrade to DVD would be just the ticket.
