I'm not age shaming Mary Tyler Moore, but she was 11 years older than Ted Danson and their age difference was really obvious compared to Christine Lahti. I just think she was miscast in this role. She was almost 50.

Maybe she had a say so in this project and cast herself, since it was her own production co. I'm just guessing. But I do love Sam Waterston' s part.
