That wasn't Grafignette at the end of the second film. That was a blind woman named Delphine.

The movies are near-flawless adaptations of Marcel Pagnol's The Water of the Hills saga (L'Eau des Collines in French). In the books, Graffignette is the nickname given to a girl named Marie d'Hortense, who was known to scratch the faces of boys who tried to kiss her. She moved to Crespin and was Florette's best friend. Delphine, on the other hand, was a blind woman from Marseilles, and the aunt of Ange, the fountaineer of Les Bastides Blanches (he's in the second film).

Totally right: "L'Eau des Collines" is the whole title of the saga "Jean de Florette" and "Manon des Sources" (Original French titles). I read the books and I confirm this info.
Btw the verb "Graffigner" in this area of France (The French Riviera) means scratch the faces, hence the nickname "Graffignette".
