Can't believe it took this long....

Can't believe it took this long to finally see this movie (thanks, Netflix!). My only defense is that when it came out, my dad was stationed overseas and so I've got a bit of a pop culture blank spot in the mid-eighties.

I can say, tho, that I would've been ALL OVER this film back then. A perfect companion-piece to that other 80s hero, Buckaroo Banzai. In fact, there's an idea - wonder how hard it would be to get Buckaroo's current publisher, Moonstone Books, to consider a Jake Speed comic?
