The Marvel Cinematic Universe may have started with Iron Man. But Howard the Duck beat him to the big screen by more than two decades. At a time when movies based on comic books were relatively rare, Howard was pushed into the spotlight by none other than George Lucas himself. In the mid-eighties, everything Lucas touched turned into a trilogy. But with Howard the Duck, critics and audiences cried fowl.
