Still a very lovable movie after all those years !

When compared to the a-dime-a-dozen current productions.

Agreed. I just watched it last night, and it's still enjoyable. I even like part two.

Does IMDB hate apostrophes?

I have a lot of good memories watching this movie in the movie theater.

I agree. I came across this movie over 10 years ago. It was on BBC 1 (UK) to channel. I loved it. Not long after that I ordered the dvd box set. The sequels aren't that great to be honest.

But this first one will always hold a special place. If it hadn't been on tv I would probably have never come across it.

Just now rewatching it for the first time in a few years. I had forgotten how funny it is. I laugh several times already and only half half way through. I remembered it as more straightforward horror and the sequel being more comedy.

One line that kind of shocked me and made me laugh is when Roger has to watch the toddler who is fussy and upset. He asks the little boy if he wants something else to play with. The little boy says yeah. Roger mutters "how about a nice plastic bag.."
