Reminds me of the 1962 movie The Intruder where some people thought the William Shatner character was other worldly.

He wasn't very much realistic, that's for sure. More like a personification of unstoppable evil that rises again and again but also wants to be stopped for good. Does it make him supernatural? In a way, yes. For me, he is similar to Jeepers Creepers.

True. That's why I never watched the remake. I like Sean Bean, but Rutger Hauer was too good to follow up.
