Did Profile die?

And if so, was he the only one?

I may have misunderstood, but I assumed he died on the hill.

Soon after, they return by plane with the students to a brass band and fanfare. Shouldn't the story have addressed Profiles death at the end?

It would have been nice if they had carried his coffin of the plane at least.

Yeah, Profile died, and I didn't understand why his death wasn't addressed either. All that had to happen was that someone like Stitch Jones could say to Highway while they're walking, "Tough break with Profile", or maybe show a body bag.

I agree, this was handled badly. It was too unclear what happened.

He did die, which was odd considering we didn't lose anyone at Grenada.

The actor who played Profile (Tom Villard) also died, in 1994, of AIDS; ironic, given that the nickname Highway gave his character was "Prophylactic", which would have saved the actor's life by preventing his deadly STD.
