Let's say Ratigan didn't fall off the clock hand

Let's say Basil didn't grab a hold of that propeller and did fall.

When the clock tower chimed and shook, what if Ratigan was able to hold on to the clock hand and not fall?

So Ratigan is still safe, but how in the world would he have gotten down afterwards? In the movie, when he thinks he's defeated Basil, he jumps in the air and laughs. Does the though of how to get down not even occur to him?

And if Ratigan did somehow get down (maybe SLOWLY climbing down), what would he have done with his torn clothes? Find a tailor?

"Andy! You goonie!"

Ratigan obviously wasn't thinking coherently in that scene, and didn't consider the consequences of his actions. All he wanted was Basil. He probably would have been stuck up there forever if he hadn't fallen.

If Padraic didn't fall off.... He survives the fall!!!!!! Only to be reborn as soccer star Jason Kreis.
