No. Honestly I feel like the people who really like are the people that were born with it or watched it as a kid. From technical standpoint and from a critical standpoint it is an average movie. Now whether you enjoy it or not that is all up to you but as far as what critics like or people who analyze movies it is below the norm.

Examples:
The movie has no character development in any of the characters
The villain is cliche
The conflict doesn't have scale
The soundtrack is good but the musical numbers weren't good
The dialogue was average
The plot was linear and straightforward
There was no mystery since the villain's scheme is shown from the beginning
The animation is below Disney standards
The lip sync was off a bit
The movie was short and rushed running at 70 minutes or less of actual film excluding credits

You're certainly entitled to your opinion about the movie, but don't make assumptions about the fans. I, for one, didn't "grow up' with it. Saw it for the first time when I was 27.

As far as Ratigan's legs, Glenn Keane wanted to show that, for all his evil and huge bulk, he had a delicacy and elegance. Sorry it didn't work for you.

It's fine. I understand elegance like when he tip toes and dances around, but when his knees touch each other it bothered me a lot because in real life nobody does that. Either way I don't hate this movie and yeah it is only my opinion but I feel like it could've been... better.

I realize this movie is not considered an animated classic such as from the days when Walt was alive, nor is it considered Best Picture material. But so what? It's simply a fun movie for generations to remember and generations to come. That's all that really matters! :)

still I agree with the topic. one of the best Disney movies ever. however, I did grow up with the movie, thus I am prejudiced, but the movie made me dream about becoming detective and not many movies in general had such an effect on me as this one, especially the trap-bit.
