How would you write a sequel to The Golden Child?

Not that it will ever really happen considering that Eddie Murphy himself, has all but disowned it, and the similar themed, Big Trouble in Little China has all but surpassed The Golden Child, in pop cultural relevance. But I thought about this considering that there's a sequel another one of Murphy's '80s films right how, Coming to America. Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall said they never for the longest time, considered doing a sequel to Coming to America, so naturally "never say never".
