good movie but...
not too sure about the ending...the kid stays with eddie and that girl?
Nope. At the end when they are talking he asks her how long she's going to be gone, she responds 2 weeks, and he says "and then you're coming back here?" and she says "yes". She is taking the child back to Tibet, and then returning to be with him.
they just happened to be together, at that moment, because the child hasn't left yet, and obviously the safest place for her, would be with "the chosen one" until her departure.
not to mention she said she loved him when she was shot with the arrow...
