Question for Friday fans

Okay so I've been thinking about this for a while. Let's say they made another Freddy vs Jason, and ideal version which features Nancy Thompson, and Tommy Jarvis coming back to fight Freddy and Jason one last time, Johnny Depp (as well as other actors who have ever been in a Friday or Nightmare film) would make a cameo as well as flashback scene with Betsy Palmer etc. etc. etc.

My question to you is, who would you rather have play Tommy Jarvis. See growing up as a kid I recognize Thom Mathews as adult Tommy Jarvis. Heck they even use his likeness in the game to play the character. Corey Feldman, while the original, only ever played his child counterpart, so to me it would make a little more sense to cast Thom Mathews for the role... BUUUUT I would like if Corey Feldman played adult Tommy Jarvis because it does feel a little more authentic. With Mathews, though, his age would make more sense. Corey Feldman is about as old as Tommy Jarvis was in part 6, so it wouldn't make sense that he's still around the same age given how many years have passed. So that's another point for Thom. I'm a little torn on this. Corey Feldman ,who throughout the films we've only ever known as young Tommy, or Thom Mathews who was the first and last to play Tommy as an adult?

I'd obviously have Heather Langenkamp return as Nancy Thompson.

TL;DR: Thom Mathews or Corey Feldman for Tommy Jarvis, GO!

This applies to any new Friday film really... If they ever decided to bring Tommy back.

Thom Mathews would definitely be more recognizable.

What are you talking about? Corey Feldman is 47 years old (or 45 when you made your post). Tommy Jarvis was only in his 20s in part 6 (Thom Mathews was 27 when part 6 was released).

"Thom Mathews or Corey Feldman for Tommy Jarvis"

Feldman, for the sake of continuity and because he's a much bigger name, but Freddy vs. Jason was a dumb idea in the first place, and a sequel to it would be an even dumber idea.

I prefer Jarvis to Friday. Jarvis was with the Stark family so long it felt so much more natural. But I am a Fan of Friday.

Neither. John Shepherd from Part V was the best Tommy Jarvis IMHO (although Thom was good in Part VI).

I say this because John Shepherd's version of the character was the most interesting: He's understandably troubled at the Halfway house in the sticks and there's a mystique about him (is he a hero or a psycho?), not to mention he can kick some arse when he has to. Speaking of which, a critic complained about Tommy's fighting skills being unrealistic in Part V, but it makes sense that he would do something like learn martial arts over the past five years since Part IV to occupy his time and cope with emotional trauma and loss. There's nothing unrealistic about it.

Thom Matthews. Feldman's acting isnt getting better with age. Matthews carried the role well.
