Question about the sunset scene, 47 mins into the movie (spoilers)

In the scene when the kids and teacher escape the cave and are walking to the farmers house, they walk past a magnificent sunset filmed in the background. Do you think this was filmed at Bairnsdale? It seems like the kind of the sunset you would get much more North of Australia. What you think? I understand the scene is filmed from below so as to accentuate the particular shot but it almost looks like trick photography it's that spectacular.
