Why wouldn't the teleporter fuse invisible life forms as well?

It's not like a fly was the only living thing in that teleportation device. Think of the billions of living microbes, bacteria, head lice, skin critters, and other microscopic life forms that would also be a part of the teleportation process.

Would. Didn't.

Can't stop the signal.

I've always thought of that too.
I made up an excuse for this, that a microscopic organism's DNA is so basic, and its body mass so small, that the computer wouldn't even detect its presence.
But it might just be the dumbest excuse ever.

reply

Think of it like this, Brundle is a scientist so he's definitely keep that in mind and probably adjusted the programming. My guess is he made the compute exclude all the bacteria etc., all the things that were so tiny and made it focus on bigger objects and living beings.

reply

There is a range of relevance. Air molecules, dust particles and bacteria are below this so the computer was programed to ignore during scanning and storing.

reply

Cos then the movie would be called Multicultural insect and bacteria man.
