S-bombs in a Disney movie?

I've noticed two so far. Oh me, oh my!

reply

Yeah, this movie was made back before the world was full of pc crybabies.

I miss those days!

What does the S Word have to do with PC? It is not like it is an ethnic slur or anything.

reply

It is one the "bad" words that tend to be replaced by "damn", "oh heck", "oh my".

reply

It's PC because PC is largely about not offending people. There's no reason not to say the "s word" other than to prevent offending very thin-skinned people.

reply

I'm not sure it's a "political correctness" thing. To me, IMHO it's the conservatives who are trying to protect "innocent ears". They seem to want to return to an earlier time, whne most movies did not contain language like that. IMHO, I'd just ell kids not to use that language, but then I'm just a long-distance uncle.

Won't that be grand? Computers and the programs will start thinking and the people will stop

How about both sides, for different reasons, being guilty of overprotecting kids? IMHO, kids are going to pick things up, and they just need people to enforce when certain things are appropriate/understandable and when they're not.

When used in a regular context, $hit isn't even that bad of a word.

Now get up here and piss in the radiator

reply

Yeah, but those two sh!ts were accompanied by a bastard and everyone knows that two sh!ts and a bastard is the same as one f&*k!

You don't know sh!t, Jon Snow!

reply

Sh!t is okay for a children's disney film, but IMDB forbids it...

Phvking bullsh!t

reply

I think the occasional bad word in here actually adds to the movie, seems more realistic and not so "kid safe" which just ends up seeming lame.

reply

They said the word "retarded" too which completely triggered me & has me boycotting all things Disney.
