One of Chuck's Best

I don't understand the lack of posts in this board,"Firewalker" is surely a great adventure/comedy/action movie, pure escapism and lots of fun. Louis Gosset,Jr was the best sidekick that Norris ever had, Melody Anderson was gorgeous to watch, Sonny Landham from "Predator" and "Lock Up" was a menacing bad guy, Will Sampson from "Poltergeist" in his last film role stole his scene and John Rhys-Davis from "Raiders of the Lost Ark","King Solomon's Mines" and "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" once again in a epic adventure movie was great in a movie homage to "The Man who would be King" by Rudyard Kipling (sp?). Surely "Firewalker" isn't the best well known Chuck Norris flick or neither one of his cult classics ("Lone Wolf MacQuade","Missing in Action","Code of Silence" or "Invasion USA") but it's one of his more entertaining movies and Chuck wasn't so serious like his previous movies, in here we saw the other face of Chuck, he can do comedy timing, most of Louis Gosset Jr "fault" who is a better actor, but it's nice to see a more relaxed and "smiling" Chuck Norris. "Firewalker" gets a 8/10 in my book!

I thought it was an entertaining film and the pacing was much better than a lot of Chuck's more famous films. I'm not a great Norris fan but this was one of his better efforts imo and he did display a certain charm lacking in most of his other films. The other Norris film that I like a lot is Hero & The Terror-that's another one that gets a fair amount of criticism but for me it's a decent thriller with one of Chuck's better performances.

his best still goes to LONE WOLF MCQUADE

This is Miami Pal, but lately its starting to look a lot like Disney Land!

Agreed with the OP! This is one of my favorites Norris' films!

Prostitute: What the *beep* are you doing?
Johnny: I'm gonna kill a bunch of people.

When I was a kid and film was in theaters in Finalnd I liked the poster. I couldn't see it because of the age but I was a bit dissapointed when seeing it later on video. Actually I'm watching this now and still I must say that this really is not that good.

That said I still think everyone should see the film at least once :).

It was an okay movie - watching it as a kid ... but watching it today makes me cringe, not the biggest amount of nostalgia can make up for the cheesiness. It's 6 parts Indiana Jones and 4 parts Crocodile Dundee which sounds fun on paper but ultimately comes down to a lull rehash. Chuck's best? Maybe, but that only means his other movies must be garbage.
