I saw this in my early teens and thought it was the coolest movie EVER!! hahaha I was deeply affected by the forbidden romance with the "bad boy"! Imean, who doesn't love that story??? I don't think I know anyone that has seen this movie besides me so it's cool to see people know it!!! Is there a romantic 12 year old girl that didn't want to be jumping into that water at the end????
shareomg, I totally know what you mean, except... ok it sounds really freaky but I was only about 7 or 8 when I saw it! My mom let me watch this but not Dirty Dancing! And one day i slipped it by her because the covers kind of look the same..( the highlight of the 80's for me, sad but true)
Anyway, I wanted to be that character because she was soooo cool and ofcourse, "pretty:, as all girls would say. And OMG I have seen Craig Schaeffer in other films and must say this was his finest hour! My G@d! Even 8-year-olds can tell a hottie when they see one! :)
I haven't seen this movie in like 15 years, but it remains permanently transfixed in my brain as one of the most romantic films EVER, and I hope I can see it one day with my fiancé, though it would torture him!

hahahahahahah That's too funny. Weird how things make such an impression on young minds. I found this movie at a local video store when I was in college and got to watch it again. I tried to order a copy but it was too expensive (not being mass produced anymore). I have seen copies on ebay but only VHS so I haven't ordered. According to this board it's not out on dvd.

Craig Sheffer was really good in that movie "Nightbreed." And he re-teamed with DB Sweeney to star in "Fire In The Sky."
