the year Ferris bueller came out was at the same time as ALIENS , I think both films were rivals

He referenced ALIEN not Aliens. Alien had the alien in the guys stomach scene he was talking about.

FBDO and Aliens were released some 5 weeks apart and were entirely different genres, so they weren't competing against each other at the box office.
