The movie ends with Ferris in bed, with his parents none the wiser. I think there should be a scene of his parents turning on the TV or reading the newspaper and sees his escapades at the parade. Then he would be busted.
Even if it's not shown in the movie, I like to think that happened.

Call me a killjoy, but I really didn't like him especially after his friend killed the car. He basically was busted a couple times and the scene claims person didn't notice or something. Yup, I was rooting for the Principal and the sister, who btw changes to hook up her brother because of a chance encounter with a bad boy sheen.

It should've ended with Ferris and parents being kidnapped by Jeannine and then being tortured by the Dutch Businessman from Hostel.
